Digital Convergence

Digital Convergence Facilitators (DCF)

The Digital Convergence Facilitators (DCFs) team is comprised of educators and school leaders who work with all Miami-Dade County Public School (M-DCPS) administrators and teachers as part of the District’s Digital Convergence initiative. School-site visits are conducted to provide support, deliver professional development (PD), and collaborate with teachers and administrators on how to create technology-rich environments at the school. The job-embedded instructional support provided includes lesson planning, classroom demonstrations, modeling and co-teaching of technology-driven instruction, and digital coaching. DCFs design and deliver PD throughout the school year to support technology integration and collaboration amongst teachers, administrators and students. PD topics include Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office 2016, Windows 10, an array of web tools, LanSchool, Digital Citizenship and more.

For more information regarding school-site and District PD, please refer to Weekly Briefing #19867.
