Digital Convergence

Connect@Home

The Connect@Home program is a district initiative providing laptops and internet connectivity for 4th grade students at select schools to use at home. Students will be able to extend their learning beyond the school day by using various district resources and digital content.  Training sessions for parents on the proper care and use of the laptops will be scheduled for the week of March 17, 2014. Parents must attend one of the sessions in order for the student to take a laptop home. Sessions will be held in the morning and evening hours to accommodate parents’ work schedules.

Teachers will receive training on various topics, including the proper use and care of the device, blended learning, Edmodo, i-Ready, district instructional resources, and digital citizenship and safety.
